Hi,
How can we change the DNS server on CUCM 6?
The existing DNS is going to retire soon.
Thanks

Hi
You can change this using CLI
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a0080094601.shtml
Let me know if that helps you...
Thanks!!!

Thanks a lot.
1 final thing - do we need to restart CUCM server or CUCM service after the changes?
It says in the document - "Make sure that the Cisco Unified Communications Manager is restarted after this configuration."

Restart the server.

A DNS entry change would restart the network service on the server automatically. AFAIK, a server restart is not needed if ONLY the DNS server address is being changed.
You would want to keep in mind http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCth09430
If the Domain Name is being changed
- keep in mind http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtg04086
- Every server in the cluster has to be rebooted, for the hosts files to match up and db replication to work fine
