It should something like below if the DSP is on NIM when you would run the command show inventory
NAME: "subslot 0/1 db module 0", DESCR: "PVDM4-128 Voice DSP Module"
PID: PVDM4-128 , VID: V01, SN: FOC17176BLL
It is like a card that you need to take out and put it in.

Find the below links helpful

http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=1182471&seqNum=2

Note :- In order to configure the PRI on ISRG4, kindly be advised to move the PVDM from Mother Board to the Network Interface Module [In case there it is not there on NIM]. Most of the times you would get an error while configuring the PRI and then you need to take the step.
You can verify the settings by running command show inventory

Hi Abhay/Jaime,

How do I make out whether PVDM4 is on motherboard or NIM from the attached bill of quantity. I know that we can find by show inventory. Is there a way to make sure without powering the router on??

If it is on motherboard then how do I change it to NIM??

Thank you in advance

Syed
