Hi everyone,
I have a super simple configuration using an FXS cards VIC-4FXS/DID= and IOS 12.4(15)T3 on 2821 platform.
An FXS port for POTS fax machines and each voice-port has its own DID using a simple peer config like this:
dial-peer voice 150 pots
tone ringback alert-no-PI
preference 1
destination-pattern 4088
progress_ind setup enable 3
progress_ind alert enable 8
port 0/1/3
I have no special commands under the voice-port 0/1/3 definition.
Everything works as expected except for an undesired call waiting feature. When the voice-port is connected to its POTS fax machine and you dial the DID you get normal ring-back instead of busy.
I would like to eliminate this ring-back and instead if the port is connected already I want any consecutive callers to get busy.
How do I do that?
Thanks

That is not normal, so to begin with, update IOS eg, 15(1)4M5.

Figured it out. It was not call waiting feature or anything that complicated and magical LOL. It was hunting the dial peers if one port is busy... Stupeeeed. Adding huntstop at each of the analog dial peers fixed it.
Now if a port is already in a call and another call comes in from the PSTN at the same port then the caller gets telco generated busy audio tone. Just as I wanted!
