Could someone be kind enough to tell me how to disable intercom once it has been set up please? Any help would be greatly appreciated as a client requires it disabled.
Am using CUE V7 if that is any help?
Thanks

Remove the button from the phone.
Is this CUCM or CME as CUE is a voicemail and irrelevant here.

OK, remove the intercom button from the ephon configuration, so if intercom button is number 2 on the phone and your config looks somthign like this:
ephone 1
button 1:1 2:10
change it to:
ephone 1
button 1:1

Well, that means you do not have any intercoms setup, so there is nothing to disable. Perhaps you misunderstood the feature they are using. What needs to be removed? Either way the way you remove it is identify which button it is on which ephone and then issue:
ephone 5
no button X:Y
where X is button location (i.e. 2 for second button on the phone) and Y is the ephone-dn you need to remove.

Is this CallManager or CallManager Express? If you are not sure, is it running on a server or on a router?

OK, slightly premature. But hey, nearly there. Have had a look at the router and there 1-48 ephones config'd
ephone 24
device-security-mode none
video
mac-address 001E.4A0B.E398
after-hours exempt
username "TSargeant"
paging-dn 1
type 7941
button 1:61 2:20
ephone 40
device-security-mode none
mac-address 001E.4A34.4A02
username "sample"
paging-dn 1
type 7941
button 1:41 2:61
so is it the second number on the button that represents the intercom? Seems I am unable to use that link you sent me..

So, which phone do you need to remove the itnercom from?
Chris

Identify which ephone-dns have "intercom ephone-dn" configured, i.e.
ephone-dn 18
number 5001
name "intercom"
intercom 5002 barge-in
ephone-dn 19
name "intercom"
number 5002
intercom 5001 barge-in
then identify which ephones reference it, i.e:
ephone 4
button 1:2 2:18
ephone 5
button 1:4 2:19
and remove the button association:
ephone 4
no button 2:18
ephone 5
no button 2:19
