Enable Voice Feedback from Accessibility

You can enable or disable the Voice Feedback feature by pushing the Select button on the Navigation ring three times. But you can also access this feature from the Accessibility setting on your phone.

With Voice Feedback enabled, you press your Softkey buttons twice to use or configure a feature.

Procedure

Step 1

Press Applications .

Step 2

Select Accessibility > Voice Feedback.

Step 3

Select On to enable the feature.

Step 4

Select Exit twice to save your settings and return to Applications.

What an annoying feature! I thought my buttons were broken having to double tap them at rapid speeds in order to get them to function. I am sure it is my lacking in understanding as to what this feature is supposed to provide however I do not understand why a "Voice Feedback" option would require so-called 'softkeys' to be pressed twice instead of the typical once.

P.S. Thank you

It is for visually impaired users.  If they cannot see the button they are pressing voice feedback will announce the purpose of that key.  The second selection of that key is the action.  Once enables as Nithin Eluvathingal points out you need to select the key you wish to control twice, which includes the process for disabling the feature.

As TomMar1 mentioned, this feature is for Visually Imparted users.
