Hi,

Need help on how to interpret the IOS of CME. Currently, the Cisco 3925 is ruuning CME version 9. However, I am lost to understand the IOS version:

IOS Version: 15.2(0.13.4)PIA17

In Cisco's website, it says that the CME version 9 should have an IOS version 15.2(2)T.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/33matrix.htm

Can someone tell me what is the meaning of "PIA17" ?

Do i need to replace or upgrade the IOS 15.2(0.13.4)PIA17 to 15.2(2)T ?

Please help.

thanks,

shawn

Hi,

you can check you current version by running command sho telephony-service, if it is not CME version 9, you need to upgrade.

but do you have any idea what is the meaning of "PIA17" in my IOS? it's my first time to encounter kind of format of Cisco IOS...

Hi Shawn,

From your attachments;

PIA17  Engineering Weekly Build

It is very strange for these to be seen in a customer site unless you

were working with an engineer from Cisco who sent you this build

to address a specific need. It's just a rollup of bug fixes in an interim

format, so if it's not causing you any issues you should be good to go

If you were to open a TAC they may ask you to upgrade to the next mainline version.
