I am trying to open a call manager backup file to see if I can find what caused a problem I am working on. The end game is to be able to look at different versions of the config file to see if I can find the change. Trying not to have to do a restore and the accompanying service outage for call manager to do the reboot I am anticipating.
Tried using 7-zip but didnt have any luck.
Suggestions ?

The backup files are encrypted since version 8.0, so unless you can heck them (there are tools on the web) you cannot simply open them.
