Hi All, I need to replace some license files on a cucm 7.1 system with new ones that have the same name. deleted them using the command file delete license and is also confirmed on the GUI but when try to load the new license files I get an error saying that the files already exist. Any ideas please?

Hi Paul,
I was working on a similar thread awhile back and the fix was to stop/start
the Cisco License Manager service. Maybe give that a try. I'm not positive
of the process exactly, but I think they used the "file delete" then stopped/started
the service, then added the new file.
Cheers!

The message you're getting is referring to database instead of files. You may verify that with CLI command:
run sql select * from licenseinfo
If the old license still in database, you may try to restart "License Manager". It should clean it up. If it didn't, you need to open a TAC case. TAC engineer will get into root shell and remove the record from database.
