How to translate a number to others?

Hi everybody,

I'm using CUCM 8.6 and h.323 voice gateway

I'm trying to translate the following emergency number to UK emergency number. Just want to ensure the people from other countries can also make the emergency call without to remember a new number.

For example, Australia (000), Germany (112) and U.S (911), when people dial these numbers, the CUCM should translate to UK emergency number (999)

I tried to do it through "translate pattern" and route pattern?

Is it a MUST to do it in voice gateway by using the translation-rule? (but seems translation-rule has limitation)

or where can I find the document guide for this activity?

Thanks

Sam

You can do it on CUCM via translation pattern or in the GW using translation rules.

If you need to do this per country, perhaps CUCM and CSS/partitions would be best for your scenario
