I have a problem with installed firmware versions on 6941 phones.

The version after delivery installed is 8.5.1.22.66 or similar.

A update to V8.5.3 and V8.5.4 ends successful.

For update to newest version of firmware available on store (V9.0.3) in release notes of the available versions V9.0.2, V9.0.2SR1 and V9.0.3 is a version named call V9.0.2s.

To this version a update is perform first before a update to V9.0.2 and V9.0.3 can made.

In online store the version V9.0.2s is not available to download. Can you tell me the correct installation procedure to bring up all te IP Phones with model type 6941 from 8.5.x to 9.0.3 and if every step to minor versions is needed?!

Installation Upgrade Notes

Direct upgrades, using unsigned load files, are supported from firmware release 8.5(4) to 9.0(3a). You can use the following firmware release file for these direct upgrades:

cmterm-69xx-sccp.9-0-3-a-uns.cop.sgn

Note A direct upgrade from firmware release 9.0(2) to 9.0(3a) is supported.

After you upgrade from firmware release 8.5(4) to 9.0(3a) and for subsequent firmware releases, you can upgrade or downgrade only to signed firmware releases.

Before You Begin

Before you upgrade from Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) 7.1(x) to 8.(0), you must upgrade to firmware release 9.0(3a).

Installing Firmware Release 9.0(3a) for SCCP

To download and install the phone firmware, follow these steps:

http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/Redirect.x?mdfid=278875240

Step 2 Log in to the Tools and Resources Download Software page.

Step 3 Choose the IP Telephony folder by clicking +.

Step 4 Choose your phone type.

Step 5 Choose 9.0(3a) under the Latest Releases folder.

•cmterm-69xx-sccp.9-0-3-a.cop.sgn

•cmterm-69xx-sccp.9-0-3-a-uns.cop.sgn

Note If you added the firmware file to the cart, click the Download Cart link when you are ready to download the file.

Step 7 Click the + next to the firmware file name in the Download Cart section to access additional information about this file. The hyperlink for the Readme files is in the Additional Information section, which contains installation instructions for the corresponding firmware:

•cmterm-6921_6941_6961-sccp.9-0-3-a-readme.html

•cmterm-6921_6941_6961-sccp.9-0-3-a-uns-readme.html

What a f... !

The release notes for V9.0.3a are available in cisco support but the file cmterm-69xx-sccp.9-0-3-a-uns.cop.sgn not.

Can you tell me, what the hell is the problem with the file that cisco catch the file out of the web?

The upgrade from 8.5.4 to 9.0.3 unsigned fails - and 9.0.3a is not available!

new ideas for my problem?!

Does this also apply to CME?

I have CME 8.0, and a 6921 and 6961 both on 8.5.4.  I'm trying to upgrade them, I've tried 9.0.2, 9.0.2SR1, as well as 9.0.3a.  They simply don't want to upgrade.

I have all the appropriate TFTP loads as well as telephony service load commands.
