Hi,
Is there a way to see the dial-plan rules defined in a COP file? I thought CUCM creates a log during dial-plan installation and that log contains the rules that make up the country specific dial-plan. I couldn't locate it in the installation logs.
Curiosity killed the cat :-)
Solved! Go to Solution.

The IDP is stored in /usr/local/cm/idp and to get to /usr/local/cm/idp you need root access.
Therefore as a customer you cannot access the IDP content with CUCM 8.0.3.
Which IDP are you looking for ?
Below is the output of the install log file.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the installation log does not show the numbering/dial plan rules specified by the COP file. So it is of no use to me.
As you said, we do not have root access either.
I am looking for NZNP and AUNP dial plan details.
Regards,
Alp

Is the following not enough:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/idp/504_423/deploy/dpDlPlns.html#wp1041390
Pierre.

The international dial plan documentation tries to explain tags using prefixes. However prefix digits are not the only criteria.
I was curious how it handles open numbering plans, such as NZNP.
It looks like what I am looking for is a bit too detail. I'll check the call manager traces to see the specifics of dial plan rules. As the digit analysis go through the dial plan, it shows them in the traces.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Alp

The number plan details for GB found in:
are incorrect, incomplete and out of date.
The corrected version can be found at:

About a year ago, I informed Cisco that various pieces of documentation detailing the GB number plan were inaccurate, incomplete, and out of date.
The majority of the published data seemed to be from some time back between 2003 and 2006, but with a substantial number of additional errors and inaccuracies and certainly not up to date.
It has taken many months to get the documentation amended with the correct information, but those changes do not appear to have made it back into the software.
I have recently seen a copy of the cisco GB number plan version 18 'dp-ffr.1-1-18.GB.exe', 'dp-ffr.1-1-18.GB.cop.sgn', 'dp-ffr.2-1-18.GB.cop.sgn' and 'dp-ffr.3-1-18.GB.cop.sgn', released only a few weeks ago, and that still has the same and many other errors included.
The faulty GB number plan file is as detailed at:
Visit the above pages, mouseover the details there, then look for the 'flat pattern file' link in the popup box, specifically:
http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074292/51298/GBNP.txt
This file contains a large number of errors.
I enclose the original and a corrected version of the 'flat pattern file'. The corrected version has dozens of fixes detailed within.

There's further information about that in https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2171992

I do not tend to use Cisco's dial plan nowadays but I think that if you dig around in the tar files created by the CUCM Disaster Recovery System you should find files containing details of the dial plans that you can open in a text editor.
I am not 100% sure of this and I do not have access to a suitable system to check at the moment - can anyone try this and confirm whether the information is available?

Cisco started encrypting DRS backups in 8.0 so this will only work for earlier versions.
