We are running a call manager 10.5 system. The location in question has 3 pots lines with a cisco 2901 as a MGCP gateway. caller ID is checked in the config for the ports. but when a call comes in all it displays on the phone is a 0. the provider tells me the caller ID is enable on there side. Here is the settings on the ports:
voice-port 0/0/0
ring number 2
output attenuation 0
timing hookflash-out 150
timing guard-out 1000
connection plar 1290
caller-id enable
caller-id mode DTMF
I had to add the caller-id mode DTMF in order for the ports to work otherwise we just got a fast busy.
why are we not getting the proper caller ID information?
*update* I added caller-id alerting ring 2 to the voice-ports and answer-address .T to the MGCP dials peers still not change

Did you shut/no shut the voice port after making your changes? Can you turn on "debug vpm signal", make a test call and attach the output?
