Hi,
I may sound weird but applying logic of ACL (cisco access control list ) if incoming call is having just numbers and they are matched with the corporate directory names in-turn displayed on phone why not the personal directory names are displayed. Since they are there in phone database. this could be game changer if cisco develops a code for it. Do u know any IPT provider has it ???

IP Phones do not pull information from the corporate directory or any other Cisco directories to match a DN and pull information.
IP Phones use the alerting name and display name when an IP Phone to IP Phone is placed.
There are 3rd party directories that do provide ANI to name mapping.

Hello Jaime,
And if we use Cisco jabber instead IP Phone, you can identify the incoming call of the caller if the external call ( for example a mobile number) has been added as a contact in Cisco jabber ?
Thanks in advance

No, Jabber uses the directory source, either UDS or LDAP for that.
