This is a common oversight. If you have made this process and the original accounts are still in UCM (showing as inactive), you can recreate the *exact* same account and resynchronize with LDAP. UCM will map the account up and reactivate it. This must be an exact match on the attributes for the match to occur.
If the UCM garbage collection process has already expunged these accounts, you will need to rerun the initial configuration on CCX to associate new accounts. This has been discussed on the forum several times already.
