Inter-cluster Trunk Compatibility

I have to (2) CCM 4.2 clusters that needs to be upgraded to CUCM 7.1 and want to upgrade (1) cluster at a time.  If I upgrade (1) cluster to 7.1 and left the other cluster on 4.2, will the inter-cluster trunk still work after upgrade???

I believe so, i did the exact same thing a year or so ago and had no problems.

Yes, ICT will work just fine. I have recently (1 month ago) done this at

two separate customers, using the exact same versions you are dealing with.

In the past year, we have done this quite a bit and have had good success.

Make sure you pay attention to dial plan overlaps and Regions/CODECs and you

should be good to go.
