Inter-site/building dial plan integration

Hi All,

I need some pointers as to how do i need to build existing dialplan/pattern to integrate another site PABX with overlap extension.

Inter-Building.png

We have on Main Building A existing PABX with Cucm + voice gateway(MGCP).

We need to integrate Building B so we can make calls to each other via dialing (8), all of building B calls is to be routed out to our Telco line.

1. Do i create a new CSS for Building B,

2. Create a Dial pattern of 8.1xx & 8.2xx & route to Building B

What about incoming calls from Building B, what do i need to configure in order for calls to be reachable to us & route calls out to our Telco

Appreciate any advise

From Site A to call Site B, there is no need to have another CSS. Since both A and B is using same dial plan, configure an extra digit as you said 8 before dialing site B.

So on Site A you need an RP with 8.[1-2]XXX and select the gateway device. The device which you use to connect the Site B. Use predot on RP  to strip the 8 before you send the call to Site B alcatel server.

For Site A to receive calls from site B (extension to extension calling) , on CUCM gateway configurations page use significant digit 4. And configure proper CSS.

If you want Site B to dial out PSTN using Site A IPT setup, don't use significant digit 4. on gateway allow all digit to pass.

One Site B to dial- Site A, AFAIK alcatel use trunk group configuration. configure a trunk group with 8.
