Dear All,
Need a quick help, please?
An internal/LAN call failed with destination cause code 41 in CDR, when looked at the list of cause codes it says Temporary Failure, I would like to know when does it occur and what made to it report code 41.
Calling Phone Type : 7945 sccp
Called phone Type: CIPC

Cause code 41 indicates a network failure.

FYI: This call is between two phones (7945g & CIPC) which are in the same site and registered to the same cucm.

Hi Syed,
No matter what the topology is, cause code 41 indicates a network issue. I would suggest you to review your QOS settings for RTP. You can setup packet captures on your switch to check for any TCP re-transmissions or drops. Also, check from CMR records to see any Jitter or packet drops.

RTP & CMR will come into play after call is established, right?
However I shall double check Qos settings.
