IP communicator can register in CME4.2 using SCCP protocol.
I tried to IP communicator register in CME4.2 using SIP protocol but can't register CME.
Is it possible mode or CME4.2 can't supported this mode(ip communicator using SIP protocol)?
ps:IP communicator can register in CCM 7.0 using SIP or SCCP.

Do you have all of the SIP CME configuration? It's very different from the SCCP configuration.

I got it...FYI..
##
This release is supported with Cisco IP Communicator Release 7.0:
⢠Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Release 4.1 (SCCP)
When Cisco IP Communicator is running SIP as its call-control protocol, it does not support SRST or
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express. (CSCsh69835)

Hi Mike,
If you can't enter the 'type' command it won't be officially supported. Quite often you can get it to register anyways as long as you can get the username and password on the phone.

I never tried to do this with a SIP-CIPC, but with a x-lite phone it does work. Give it a try with this free SIP phone just to see if your sip-authentication works. You can download it at http://www.counterpath.com/x-lite.html
