Hi,
I am using Cisco IP Communicator 7.0.5 (Windows XP). Does anyone knows from where takes the client the TFT-Server Adress if 'use the default TFTP servers' is selected? In my opinion it is not the DHCP-option 150 ?...?
Thank you
Kind Regards Daniel

Hi,
It is from DHCP option 150 only. If your DHCP server is not giving tftp address. It will give you error stating "unable to find TFTP"

Ok thank you, would be logical, but we have some clients that have the right addres (172.17.32.1) in case they use vpn (10.0.0.0) but the DHCP (ASA) does not provide that DHCP-option. So I wonder where the IP Communicator has the right address?
thank you
kind regards

Hi,
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/security/pix/pix63/command/reference/df.html#wp1025497
According to this link you configure the ASA for option 150 - TFTP server like this
dhcpd option 150 ip server_ip1 [ server_ip2]
E.G.
dhcpd option 150 ip 172.172.172.172 172.172.172.175
Regards
Alex
