IP Communicator version 2.0(2) was running on Dell 420 Laptops without any problems. Have gotten some Dell 620 Laptops, used a image to load software so that the only difference is the hardware. Now, after starting IP Communicator, the laptops will either Blue Screen or Freeze. This can occur immediately or 5 days later. If you don't start IP Communicator then no problems. Never had this issue on the Series 420 laptops. Anyone heard of this or have any ideas?

Do you have any difference in patch levels (Microsoft patches) in both 420 and 620 laptops ? XP SP2 ?

Both laptops are exactly the same as far as software, patches, etc.

Do you have an external USB sound device you can hook up? If so, try that and disable the internal sound card drivers (to see if it's the sound card that is locking it up).

I just wanted to mention that I've experienced problems with the following Cisco software while using the Dell 620 Latitude. I have several other Dell laptops to provide somewhat of a control group
1. Cisco VPN Client
2. IP Communicator
3. PMC Client
Anybody else having these problems?
