IP Phone 7900 series screen flicker under 50Hz fluorescent lights

The IT department recently upgraded all the phones in the office to Cisco 7962G IP phones.  As we have fluorescent tubes lighting our office from a 50Hz supply, the screen on these phones flicker. Is there a setting, alternate firmware or alternate product for us poor people that live in countries with 50hz supplies? The IT department wants to change all of the lights in the office.

There is no firmware 'fix' for that and actually no fix at all.
