ip phone 7940 ethernet disconnected message

Hi All

my ip phone restarted randomly,

ip phone 7940

call manager version:  7.1.3.20000-2 

the phone running on POE port ,i have tried more than one port and the phone disconnects, Knowing that there are many other phones working fine.

Try to upgrade or downgrade firmware on this phone and check once.

If only one phone is affected and the issue follows the phone when you change the switch port then most likely the issue is with the phone. You can try the firmware upgrade / downgrade as suggested by Suresh. If it doesn't work then do a factory reset. Post that it may require a replacement if the issue persists.

to add one more to others suggestions,

When you say you've tried changing the ports did you directly plug the phone into a switch port where you had a working phone?usually "ethernet disconnected" could also be due layer 1 issues which wouldn't isolate it if you just change the patch at the patch panel leaving it at the same field outlet
