IP Phone 8945 fw upgrade read fail

Hello,

I've 2 * 8945 phones on a remote location with around 230 ms delay and bw 10 Mbps

I've upgraded 1 phone without any problem but the other phone fails when reading the fw file onto my Publisher TFTP. Even when trying a first step upgrade fron 9-1-2 to 9-2-2. Goal is fw 9-2-3-5

Unfortunately this parameter does not exist yet in the 8945 phone menu.

also you can create a tftp server at local site and configure it as alternate tftp address in the phone!!

Hey Dion!!

Any luck on this one? I'm having the exact same issue. I tried a local TFTP server and still no go. I had two seperate batches of 8945's and one batch were fine but the second batch all have this problem.

Gets to file 4 and returns a "upgrade SCCP894x.9-2-3-5.bin4.sgn fail (read fail)".

All sorted. My issue was due to the TFTP between the phone and CUCM traffic being caught by the voice signalling QoS class which was policing it down to 32k on the interface. Changed the match policy for Signalling to match signalling and CS3 which allows the TFTP traffic to keep going down the policy to match the Bulk Data class and which allows for a much higher rate and the phones upgrade perfectly everytime now.

The other way to fix this is to change the Enterprise Phone "DSCP for Phone Configuration"
parameter from CS3 to AF11 or something else other than CS3 but not sure if this takes affect for brand new phones just plugged into the network.

I have the same issue with IP phone 8941 upgrading its firmware.

Current firmware is

Error is:
