Hi,
I am trying to disable video capabilities for IP phone 8945s in call manager. However, it gets triggered somehow and shows device video capabilities enabled. Has anyone come across this issue? It's a tricky situation because some 8945s in cluster do show video disabled while the other don't.

You can got CUCM phone page and try disabling the video capabilities. If that does not help check if the common Phone profile that you are using has the parameters disabled.
See if this helps.

Hi
I don't know for what reason you need to disable video in you situation, but our story was:
8945 and other video phones sent all video capability's to external number to Sip-trunk (CUBE) and the call been engaged of course. So we decide to create a separate region/location with ''none video bandwidth'' and device pool and assign to sip-trunks, this resolved our problem with external call from video phones.
Maybe this will help someone.
