IP Phone Background image download from CallManager version 4.1

                   Hello guys!

   I'm in the process of migrating 7940 and 7960 IP phones from a CallManager version 4.1 to a BE6000 CUCM 8.6. The phones already have a Corporate background image from the old CM platform. The migrated phones have booted up in the new CUCM 8.6 with their Corporate background image. I reseted a 7940 phone and when it loaded up it deleted the corporate image and it was as default. My questions are the following:

1. Wich is the path and process in CallManager version 4.1 for downloading the current background images?

2. Does the phones actually store the images or if all phones are reseted the corporate background image will be deleted?

Don't recall the exact path, but it is in the TFTP directory, you can easily find it.

Only the image applied to the phone is stored on the phone, if you perform factory reset, etc it will be deleted.  It needs to be downloaded from new TFTP.

So, find the old images, upload to new TFTP and select on the phones.

They should be here:

C:\Program Files\Cisco\TFTPPath

And from there, it's the same structure as the TFTP from Linux appliances, find the Desktops folders and so on.

I'd upload all the background images you already have on 4.X to make sure they're ready when you need to use them.

Hello Chris and thanks for the reply! As stated in the document Implementing Phone Background Images for Cisco IP Phones , the path for the List.xml file (CUCM 8.5) is http://:6970/Desktops/640x480x24/List.xml.
