Hello everyone,

After our switch reload ,all of the ip phone can not dial, but the ip phone can get an ip address and tftp server.but they just can not register with the call manager...and I don't know why.

Here are my configuration:

network 172.28.0.0 255.255.0.0
default-router 172.28.15.254
option 150 ip 172.21.15.232 172.21.15.231
dns-server 10.64.0.101 10.176.0.101
!

SW254#sho ip dhcp binding
Bindings from all pools not associated with VRF:
IP address Client-ID/ Lease expiration Type
Hardware address/
User name
172.28.0.79 019c.57ad.b584.c4 Feb 12 2019 10:39 AM Automatic
172.28.0.80 01dc.cec1.d539.02 Feb 12 2019 10:44 AM Automatic
!
SW254#ping 172.21.15.231

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 172.21.15.231, timeout is 2 seconds:

Look for ACLs if they are blocking Subnet A. You must add option 150 as the IP Phone if they cannot find Option 150 will use the one which is stored in buffer from previous registration. So if you have new phone or reset existing phone you cannot register

From the cucm these phones should be registered on, can you ping the phone, actually do a traceroute from cucm and see where the tracert dies, and focus on the last good hop.

I can ping ip phone ,but CUCM display ip phone status is unregistered,

Hi @tianwen.zha,

Regardless of the registration, if the phone has IP, you should be able to ping from the CUCM.

This is to make it a connectivity problem.

If you have not already done so, you could turn the phone off and on.

Regards

thank you for your reply
I can ping the CUCM from IP phone ,and I also reboot the IP Phone. The problem is the same

Connect a PC into the same VLAN as the phones. Can the PC reach the CUCM webpage?

Have you cleared the ARP?

Thank you for your reply
PC can reach the CUCM webpage
I also clear the arp

1) Is there a firewall in between CUCM & Phone. If so please check if Port SCCP and SIP Ports are not blocked in firewall.

2) Also Make sure SIP/SCCP Inspection is disabled on the firewall.

Most probably it is due to the inspection.

3) Move one of the test phone to Same subnet as CUCM and try registering phone there. If it registeres fine then we can conclude the issue is on network side.

Thank you for your reply
as far as I know , There is no firewall between CUCM & Ip phone .
CUCM is in the Headquarters, And here is the branch,so I can't move one of the IP phone to the same subnet as CUCM
Headquarters' ip phone is ok
IP phone had been ok all the time here. Since the switch and the voicegateway reloaded the IP phone is not work

1) Have you check the configuration on Swith and Voice Gateway. Has it changed after reload. Compare it will old Backup Configurations.
2) One The Phone Go To Status and see what are the status message it is showing ?
3) Try to Install Cisco IP communicator in One of the PC and Put that PC In Voice Vlan and Try to register CIPC. You can try to check if TFTP and SIP/SCCP Port are open by using telnet command from PC and Also try capturing wireshark and see the traffic.

Thank you for your reply
1.I compare with the old configuration , I found that Voice Gateway do not have IP phone's arp right now ,but the core switch does. I think the problem is in Voice Gateway .How can I check for it ?

How is traffice flow path from Phone To CUCM ? IPPHone----->Switch----->VOICE GATEWAY-----vpn-------ROUTER----CUCM ?

Thanks,

the traffice flow path from Phone To CUCM is
IPPHone-----Switch-----VOICE GATEWAY------ROUTER-------OSPF----------ROUTER----CUCM

Can you try to put on Laptop in voice subnet and check the ports 2000.5060,5061 Tcp and try registering CIPC

Thank you for your reply
I did some test
Now the ip Phone subnet is subnet A
It is strange that when I changed the IP phone 's subnet A to subnet B , they can register with the CUCM
but I can't see the difference between A and B. These two subnets both can communicate with CUCM
Subnet A 's IP pool is created by switch
Subnet B's IP pool is created by win server 2008, this ip pool do not have option 150 ,but it works
I don't fiugre out..
