I have a client who's ip phone installed with two 7915 expansion module on it, however after he plug in the power for them all the buttons on both 7915 turned red. What does it mean and how to solve it?

Hello Ken,
We will need some more information to better understand the issue:
* On which phone model did you install the 2 expansion modules 7915?
* Which firmware version is this phone running?
* Is the phone+expansion module registered on CME or CM? Which version of CME/CM?
* Does it work if you only install one 7915 expansion module?
I found this document for CME where it says:
http://tools.cisco.com/squish/ef2d2
Cisco Unified IP Phone 7915 Expansion Module:
To support a 7915 or 7916 expansion module, IP phones must have firmware 8-3-5 or a later version. The 7915 and 7916 expansion modules are supported only on the 7962, 7965, and 7975.
Thanks,
German

Has the phone been configured for use with the sidecar? As mentioned above, is the phone even compatible with the sidecar? IIRC a phone either deleted in CUCM or not configured for the sidecare will result in the sidecar line buttons lighting up all red.

I have a similar issue: CP-7962, CUCM 8.6, firmware is 9.3.1, SCCP.
