IP Phone License for CME

Hi,

Need one help.

I have CME on 2811 Router. Do I need to purchase License from Cisco for Registering the IP Phones?? I have near about 40 phones..

Legally, a license is required to be purchased along with the phone for either CUCM or CME. However, licenses on CME are based on the honor system and are not required to register a phone.
