IPMA - Secretary Presence

Hello Community,

We have a CUCM v11.01 and we want to implement IPMA.
We want the Manager to be able to assing/un-assing a filter ie denote when his number needs to be filtered or not by the Secretary. I understand that this is possible.

Is it possible the Secretary to be able to denote via a softkey that he/she is absent, so that the Manager will know that his/her calls wont be "filtered"?

Thanks in advance

How do you have this configured ? Are you using IPMA Proxy or shared line ?

IPMA is used to intercept calls to Manager phone/DN and route them dynamically to assistants in your case will be the secretary and/or send call status to Manager. You should be able to see which assistants are logged in to take calls on your behalf through the IPMA status window on the Manager IP Phone.

So if you are looking to intercept secretary calls in her absence, that won't be possible with IPMA AFAIK.

Hello Nipun, thanks for the feedback

I face one problem which it would be great if you have any ideas. As you may see at the pictures below, even if there is the IPMA service activated and there is the Assistant Monitor -On shown on the Managers phone as well as there is the Assistant interface on the Assistant phone, when someone calls the Manager and the filter is ON, when I press Answer at the Assistant phonethere is a prompt on the Assistants phone "The key is not active here"

I have tried to implement the IPMA based on the link below:

I was trying Proxy but it wasnt working in my case.... I will try to implement the Share line mode to check if this works...

Many thanks for your prompt responses, I will get back to you on this

Ok. Give it a try and let us know how it goes. If you want to go with Proxy though, look at the following post from Petr -
