IPT Solution

Dear All,

May I know whether jabber and video endpoints like sx10, sx20 etc can be integrated with CME?

Let me explain.

I am in the process of designing IPT solution for one my customers.

Requirement:

  1. Single site deployment
  2. 20 users at present, and the users’ count might or might not increase
  3. High Availability required
  4. Cisco Jabber required
  5. Video Conferencing required.

Since, the number of users are very limited I am planning to go for CME, but I am not really sure about Cisco Jabber and Video Conf as to how I can design this.

Sorry mate buut Jabber does not integrate with CME. you would need full blown cucm for that

They work with CME but I suggest for start B6K cuz you might get custom
requirements with these devices which aren't supported on CME

No, the CME compatibility guide lists the endpoints that are supported and you won't find TP endpoints.

If you review the data-sheet of the products, that would have also given you the answer:

Call Control

●  Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
◦   Native registration with  CUCM
◦   Requires CUCM Version 8.6(2) or later with device pack for SX10 Quick Set
◦   Basic CUCM provisioning
◦   Firmware upgrade from CUCM
◦   Cisco Discovery Protocol and DHCP option 150 support
◦   Basic telephony features such as hold, resume, transfer, and corporate directory lookup
●  Cisco Video Communication Server (VCS)
◦   Native registration with VCS
●  Cisco Spark Service
●  Third-party H.323 Gatekeepers and standards-based SIP proxies

Do you have the required level of knowledge to design a UC solution??

Are you part of a Cisco partner who holds a UC specialization to provide the right solution based on the customer requirements, and to be able to configure it as per the best practices??

but when ever I create profile under voice register global I get to see jabberconfig.xml error.
How about video endpoints, can I register them (SX10 or SX20) to CME by any chance?
