ISDN outgoing calls continuous noisy (shhhhhhhhh) sound and line deactivate issues

Hi All,

we've installed ISDN line on CME and incoming calls have no issues but all outgoing calls have continuous noisy (shhhhhhhhh) sound for inside callers but the called party (PSTN) clearly hears the callers voice. and in addition to that the ISDN line gets deactivated suddenly at some time. below is our configuration. please advise

VOIP-R#sh run

Hi,

I recollect similar issue in my deployment. I had longtime to connect calls on IPLC circuits (international PRI) so i added ”isdn sending complete” command to send setup message quickly to setup call.

For hissing sounds i found was due to electrostatic currents.
1). Check if you have proper earthing with Cisco Routers.
2). Check NW Rack earthing is proper and standard way.
3). I replaced the Router 3945 chassis.
4). At last resort, i shifted Router to another NW rack with points1,2 in place.

I hope it finds useful.

Thanks & regards,
Ritesh Desai
