ISDN Setup message

UCM version 7.1.3.10000-11

2811 configured as an H.323 gateway running 12.4(13r)T.

I have one user that is having difficulty dialing numbers.  This happens at random and he is the only one that has reported the issue.  The symptoms are he dials a long distance number and receives a fast busy signal.  The call reaches the gateway, but the isdn setup message is as follows:

        Bearer Capability i = 0x8890

                Standard = CCITT

                Transfer Capability = Unrestricted Digital

                Transfer Mode = Circuit

                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

        Channel ID i = 0xA98397

                Exclusive, Channel 23

        Calling Party Number i = 0x2181, 'XXXXXXXXXX'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:National

        Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '1XXXXXXXXXX'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:National

022620: Feb 22 15:58:10.098: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8  callref = 0x913E

        Channel ID i = 0xA98397

                Exclusive, Channel 23

022621: Feb 22 15:58:12.379: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- DISCONNECT pd = 8  callref = 0x913E

        Cause i = 0x8091 - User busy

All my other calls show something different under transfer capability, but I've noticed whenever his call fails the message is identical to the above.

Just to note:  I have verified that his phone is configured with the correct CSS and that his DN is in the correct partiton.

Are you sure you are not trying to make a video call (CUVA ...) across PSTN ?

Maybe you can try to issue the bearer-cap speech command under the voice port to avoid making video calls.

Pierre,

That's a good idea.  He does have CUVA, but I didn't think about that.  Does this command have any other impact that I need to be aware of?

It will only disable video calls across PSTN. Not other impact.
