keypad issue

in my cisco ip phone 8845  When I press the soft keypad on a Cisco IP phone, the wrong input appears on the screen? example when i press button 1 in and screen appears 2. how to fix it?

lol that is weird. What have you tried so far? I'd reset and wipe the phone first and then retest: 

I googled for this as could not remember the specific sequence to do a full reset. 

Reset via Keypad

1. Disconnect your phone from its power supply. 
2. Press and hold the # key on your keypad and reconnect the phone to its power supply.
3. When you the Headset and Speaker icons light up release the # key and press 123456789*0# on the keypad in sequence.
4. After the numbers are entered you will see the line buttons flash amber and green as the phone completed the reset process.


The phone will reboot, and boot up as new. You must have a correct set up so that the phone can boot and register with cucm or cucme whichever you are using.

It could be a hardware issue but before opening an RMA try to factory reset and also to upgrade to the latest firmware available.

Most probably that could be a hardware issue which you must do a RMA.

 

try the reset option other peers mentioned before RMA.
