LDAP Integration Cisco UCM 10

Hi Experts,

I searched in the Cisco support forum and other available resource to check whether we can use the IP phone attribute from LDAP (Microsoft AD) to use as Cisco call manager user ID when we integration UCM with LDAP.

I do not have a lab enviornment to check this scenarion. All the documents says either SAMAccount and user ID from the LDAP can map with Cisco UCM user ID.

So the business case is that company use Cisco Extension Mobility and user profile created with their extension. so the user has to login to Cisco IP phone with their extension number. this was designed to make the user experience better.

So appreciate if anyone can let me know the possiblity of having IP Phone attribute as Cisco call manager user ID in LDAP integration

Regards,

Shalid

No, you can use one of the following:

samaccountname

telephoneNumber

empolyeeNumber

userPrincipalName

In CUCM 12.0 however you don't have to use the username to sign in with EM, you now have a choice to use telephonenumber (can be ipPhone) or conference now access code (If I recall correctly).
