Learning about Cisco IP Phone System

Greetings,

I am wondering if someone could point me to some documentation, tutorials, or PDF's regarding how Cisco's IP Phone system works? I can find how to set it up but I can't seem to find how it works or why it works. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be very appreciative.

@michaeltownley7  after you take a look at the doc provided you can schedule some collaborations labs using Dcloud or sandbox

The documentation provided from @balaji.bandi seems to be what I am looking for and I will definitely check out those labs @Leonardo Santana.
