Looking for equipment requirements

I am a contractor with the Army and have been tasked with

developing a list of equipment needed to replace

a talk swith VOIP system with a Cisco solution that would be able to expand to 300 users. Right now we have a time warner business cable modem with a ASA 5505 as our gateway. I am not sure if this connect will work and have a call into their support. So what hardware is needed? I can not contact a vendor due to government rules. So if anyone can provide some information that would be great.

Hi,

you must contact a Cisco partner for initial orientation, otherwise you will never be able to complete the task yourself. Basically with Cisco your choices are between CUCM and CME, I would recommend the latter.

I'm not aware of any rule prohibithing that you contact suppliers, The US Gov. and Military contact and buy from vendors every day and cannot assume you are skilled in designing voice systems without a previous training that can last few years.
