Low active partition availabel disk space

I have seen my alerts from RTMT for the CUCM version 11.X Publisher keep telling me the active partition disk space available is less than 4%.

From research on the forums, I see that this is fairly normal and the active partition is at 90% and higher, but mine has increased to now be at 99% disk usage, which is worrying. The disk size is 146GB which is within the OVA recommended. output of show status shown below

Is there anything I can do?

                        Total            Free            Used
Disk/active         14643056K         216396K       14277896K (99%)
Disk/inactive       14643120K        1925580K       12568776K (87%)
Disk/logging        80650856K       41022212K       35471140K (47%)

Yes, this needs to be checked. You can try disabling any detailed traces first and check the output of the following:

utils diagnose test

utils core active list

file check 10000   ------- to see which files are taking up the max space

Deleting the trace files through RTMT can be tried as well if the output of above commands does not point to any other issues.

thanks Manish, I had turned off the traces and rebooted, to no avail, the above checks reveal very little. I have deleted traces, turned of CDR collection but still is at 99%

In that case i would recommed checking with TAC as this is the Publisher server, do keep a good DRS backup handy for this cluster.

- Is this a fresh installation or upgrade from a previous version?

 - There may be some files left (like car db from migration) that are occupying space. Please run file check 10000 to see what those files are as you may need to get rid of them (with TAC support if required).

this is a upgrade from 9, I increased disk capacity, via recommended method. When I run

file check command  I get a very large list of files like below, I don't think I want to delete those

   7 KB /usr/share/man/man3/Tcl_TraceVar.3.gz
       4 KB /usr/share/man/man3/Pod::Select.3pm.gz
       0 KB /usr/share/man/man3/mpath_persistent_reserve_in.3.gz
       5 KB /usr/share/man/man3/Tcl_FreeResult.3.gz
       3 KB /usr/share/man/man3/MIME::QuotedPrint.3pm.gz
       3 KB /usr/share/man/man3/Tcl_FindExecutable.3.gz
       4 KB /usr/share/man/man3/Tcl_ListObjAppendElement.3.gz
       4 KB /usr/share/man/man3/Net::POP3.3pm.gz
       3 KB /usr/share/man/man3/Tcl_NewDoubleObj.3.gz
       2 KB /usr/share/man/man3/overloading.3pm.gz
       3 KB /usr/share/man/man3/File::Spec::VMS.3pm.gz

try to check for:

/usr/local/cm/db/car/migration/tbl_billing_error.csv

/usr/local/cm/db/car/migration/tbl_billing_data.csv

Quite likely that csv might be taking space. You can delete those files if you don't need them. Again, check with TAC if you have doubts or need help with deleting unwanted files.

thanks, still not getting anything of any note. I will log a TAC case, thanks all for the help
