Media List Exhausted

Dear all,

whithin CM 10.5,  what is the best way to track what event (or device) is causing this alarm on RTMT:

"MediaListExhausted"

I would rather undertand the cause of the problem, before changing the threshold as adviced in the following document:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/21271/cisco-callmanager-4x-medialistexhausted-notifications-intermittently-arrive-rtmt

Many thanks,

Francesco

Hi

It's less 'which device causes it' and more 'which lack of device' caused it.

You can pull the CCM logs and look at the traces at the time of the alert being raised, the alert should tell you which node triggered it and you can focus on that.

[+5] to Aaron for his inputs on this. There is no such report available within CUCM that can actually tell the exact Media Resource (since there are so many) causing the alerts to generate. Your best shot is to take the details as much as you can from the alert itself and then examine the required MRGL or MRG to make sure there are no unregistered, unknown etc. Media Resources causing the issue to happen.

If it is happening too frequently and the users are also raising complaints for any of the MR functionality not working during the time of alert, then contact TAC and get the CCM trace analysis done for the RCA.

Regards

Deepak
