MGCP Drops Calls

ITforever

Hi,

We have a problem with one of our MGCP gateways. The connectivity is as follows:

PBXPhones --- SiemensPBX ---E1@MGCP_Local---CUCM---MGCP_External-E1--PSTN

The problem is when PBXPhones make a call to mobile phones (GSM Network), they hit the E1 port of LGCP Local. My expectation is that MGCP Local E1 should make a call to the dialed number towards CUCM. And the CUCM should send the call to the PSTN via MGCP External. However, I get an isdn disconnect on MGCP_Local with the following cause code:

Dialed Number Analyzer shows that the call is successful from MGCP_Local E1 to the dialed number (cell phone) via MGCP_External

Cause i=8083 No route to destination.

Any ideas what might be wrong or missing?

Cheers

Anar

That usually means routing issues or CSS/partitions issues, I'd start by checking all that.

Jamie,

The CSS on E1 port contains the partition in which I have the required RP. What else do I need to check? Moreover, as I have mentioned earlier, the CUCM DNA says a call from E1@MGCP_Local  to the PSTN is successful.

Am I missing anything else?

Can you send a debug isdn q931 from the local mgcp gateway. Include the calling and called number

Here is a snippet from debug isdn q931 output:

*May 14 13:08:30.051: ISDN Se0/1/0:15 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x0005

        Cause i = 0x8083 - No route to destination

And note that I do have 0050XXXXXXX pattern in CUCM. Its partition is included in the CSS assigned S0/1/0 interface.

Hi Anar,

Now this just might be a typo, but the called number which we get from the Siemend PBX is 0051660XXXX and the route pattern which you say that you have configured is 0050XXXXXXX.

I have highlighted the difference. In case this was a typo:

> Have we tried running a debug on the external MGCP gateway, does the call reach there? If so, please attach the ouput.

Regards,

Jagpreet

Hi Jagret,

Sorry, my mistake. The pattern is 0051XXXXXXX. So we should eliminate this.

As far as the external MGCP is concerned, it does not get anything re the call from 75812(PBX) to 0051660XXXX(GSM).

Cheers

Anar
