migrate a DLUs from an old server to a new BE6k Server

Hi all

we have cucm 8 with MCS server , we have 600 DLUs.

we want to move to a new BE6k Server  version 11 (we will do fresh installation).

the question is : can i move those DLUs to the new BE6K ? if possible how many enhance license will we get from those 600 DLUs.

You may contact licensing@cisco.com as they will be able to assist with license migration process. You should use PCD for this migration as detailed here if running 8.6 version of cucm on MCS

I just Prepare the BOQ in Cisco QPT (Quick Pricing Tool),  it only asks for the current profiles (phones) not the DLUs  and it convert each profile to an enhance license ?

what i know is that each 6 DLUs = 1 enhance license . did Cisco changed it ?

but the question still remain , is it 600/6 =100 enhance or it is what the QPT (Quick Pricing Tool) is gving me (number of existing phones = number of enhance license i will get)

example in the QPT

current profiles in 8.6 = 180 phones

New Profiles in 11 = 180 Enhance Licenses

it is very clear now .

i guess the used phones are consuming 4 DlUs not 6

6 DLUs = 1 Enhance only in the case that those DLUs are not attached with any phones

You will get 600/6=100 enhanced licenses while migrating as 6 DLUs constitute one enhanced license as mentioned in the below doc.

As Manish stated, contact Licensing team with the PAK id of your existing licenses or a license report, UUID from cucm 11 PLM to convert the DLUs to enhanced license.
