I have several boxes of enterprise/on-prem 78xx & 88xx handsets that I wish to migrate to 3PCC firmware. These devices are not currently configured on CUCM and I have the appropriate conversion license files for each handset.
Although I can manually convert each device by configuring it in CUCM, setting its phone load to the 3pcc firmware and letting the phone get its new license over the network, I'd prefer to avoid having to configure each device onto CUCM just to get it to load the new firmware.
Is there a way to persuade a phone with enterprise/on-premise firmware to automatically install the 3PCC firmware without needing CUCM? (e.g. DHCP options, TFTP configuration file, etc?)
