Without knowing the specific customer requirements, moving from HCS to on-prem is probably the wrong direction. New deployments of on-prem calling are rare these days and usually a result of regulatory or air gap requirements. Cisco’s recommendation is to move from HCS to Webex Calling Dedicated Instance if you want to keep CUCM-IM&P, CER, CUC, and Expressway. Or Webex Calling multi-tenant if the endpoints are new enough and there are no CUCM-only dependencies/integrations.

I’m not aware of an all-in-one migration guide though. You would need to extract config from the HCS CUCM/CUC cluster, massage the data, and then import it to the new cluster. You’ll also need to handle the ITL file transition as endpoints move between clusters; I prefer the Phone-SAST-Trust method personally.

Hi Jonathan,

In the first level I want to move customer to on-prem and the second level to move webex .

How can disconnect CUCM from HCS without reinstall CUCM ?

You can't AFAIK and that two-hop approach seems likely to add a ton of labor & expense. Most HCS providers didn't even offer customers direct access to CUCM/CUC Admin; there was usually a provisioning product in front of it to enforce standards and tie into their billing systems.

Hypothetically the HCS provider could give you a DRS backup of CUCM with the security passphrase to decrypt it for restore (and COBRAS export of CUC) but all of the platform details would have to match for the installer to stand up new VMs.
