Hi,
Whilst I understand there is no migration path or SKU to upgrade to Business Edition, can a customer running UCM 5.1 and Unity Connection 1.1, both running on MCS7815 servers, purchase a new BE appliance and use their existing licenses (DL's and VM) with the assistance of licensing@cisco?
Many Thanks in advance,
Les.

Hi Les,
Yes, their is "full" investment protection for this type of
migration path. You will need to engage your SE and
As you nicely noted There will be upgrade costs involved if you
are moving to the latest BE release, but that should be it.
Cheers!

Just to add a word of liability disclaimer to Rob's post:
None of us are Cisco employees. We cannot speak for Cisco and what options they will offer to the customer. This should be discussed directly with the customer's Account Manager. There is no official/documented migration path or promotion to migrate stand-alone clusters to Business Edition. While licensing may choose to re-host the DLUs and subscriber mailbox licenses (again, we cannot state this with authority), the customer would still need to purchase new node/software licenses and ensure that their ESW/UCSS/SMARTnet contracts are accurate.
