Hello all,
It's my first post on this forum so i beg your pardon in case of bad syntax/format used for my question .
One office has a voice gateway : Cisco VG204.
They can't send faxes (national/international) (plugged on this Cisco) : it only says it can't be sent.
They replaced the fax by a phone : same symptom : calls can't be made (call busy/hang).
Their provider after various months (!!!) only managed to tell that some digits are missing !
Example :
The user compose "123456789" : the number sent to is : "1234579"
By the way, it appears (but not sure) that whatever number is composed : the same digits are missing (whatever hardware used).. but not sure.
As it's entirely managed by their provider, no one has informations : IOS version, etc..
Sorry for such few details about configuration/errors but it's "closed" by the provider ...
I searched/read many articles/release notes...
I hesitate between : misconfiguration (route/translation pattern, configuration...) or IOS caveat (for example :
CSCti59419
Symptoms: Double digits being sent (OOB and RFC2833).
Conditions: The symptoms are observed if no DTMF method is specified in the CRCX from CA and
when running Cisco IOS Release 12.4(25c) and above.")
If someone has an idea / experience feedback : thank you very much .
Sincerely,
XZed
