Hi All,
My client is running CUCM 7.1.3 and have asked that end users have access to modify BLF I have created a user that can only update BLF entries but the customer would also like end users to have access to the modify the devices in their own physical location this could be defined by Partitionm, CSS or location.
From what I can see this is not possible but I would like to confirm before informing the client.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

You're right, thats not possible. CUCM doesn't go any further than what you can or cannot do in MLA, not up to the point on which you can define over what devices you have control.

Hey Nick,
Sorry my friend but CUCM cannot restrict down to that granular level

I thought that was the case gents, one last questions to try and cut down on my admin overheard is there anyway for the CCMUsers to add/modify BLF's? or can this only be done via CCMadmin?
Cheers

Hi Nick,
Sadly not
From the SRND;
Unified CM Speed Dial Presence
Unified CM supports the ability for a speed dial to have presence capabilities by means of a busy lamp
field (BLF) speed dial. BLF speed dials work as both a speed dial and a presence indicator. However,
only the system administrator can configure a BLF speed dial; a system user is not allowed to configure
a BLF speed dial.
