Hi,

I have a CME version 8.6 .

I have configured MOH and it is working fine for PSTN calls or external calls.

But it is not working for internal IP Phones.

Please suggest.

Also, make sure the Loopback and the voice vlan interface having 'ip pim den' enabled.

Ankita,

Have you configured the multicasting for the local MOH

Hi  Alex,

I have configured multicasting for MOH as follows-

moh music-on-hold.au

multicast moh 224.91.22.5 port 2000 route 10.91.101.15 147.225.246.178 10.91.22.5

Try to change the port to 16384.

moh music-on-hold.au

multicast moh 224.91.22.5 port 16384 route  10.91.101.15 147.225.246.178 10.91.22.5

Also, make sure the Loopback and the voice vlan interface having 'ip pim den' enabled.

Hi ,

I tried to change the port to16384 then also its not working.

Is this a Live Feed MOH? If yes, here is the example for Live Feed MOH:

voice-port 1/0/0
auto-cut-through
operation 4-wire
signal immediate

dial-peer voice 4 pots
destination-pattern 2999
port 1/0/0

telephony-service
moh slot0:music-on-hold.au
multicast moh 239.10.10.10 port 2000

ephone-dn  21
number 2998
moh out-call 2999

Please post your full configurations for multicast moh.

Ankita,

A few things:

Your configuration looks good.  I am wondering what the IP address of the loopback interface is?  It is ideal to configure the ip addresses in this fashion.  etc...  Keeping the loopback first.

The fact that it is working on the PSTN tells me it is related to one of two things.

Mulitcast routing on your switch:

Make sure multicast routing is enabled on the switch, if the IP Phones are on a different subnet.

or,

A problem on your platorm, that may require you to call TAC, what version of IOS are you running?

Hi,

moh music-on-hold.au

multicast moh 224.91.22.5 port 16384 route  10.91.101.15 147.225.246.178 10.91.22.5

which all hops should be there after the route keyword.

Whether  224.91.22.5 can be used for multicasting?

Regards

Ankita Vig

As there are no MoH groups in CME,  MoH is not used for internal calls.
