Hello All,
CallManager Version: 8.6.2.24901-1
I am looking to monitor some of the Media Resources in our Cisco VoIP network, like CFBs for example.
I went to: RTMT > System > Performance...
In there I opened the following charts (*which I will list below), but when I started a Meet-Me conference from my desk phone and added at least one participant to the call, other than myself, I still did NOT see any of the charts being incremented to show that my conference call was Active...
Checked the following Charts:
So given that information above and the fact that I was running the Meet-Me conference myself from my 7961 IP Phone (*so I know for a fact that at least one CFB should have showed it was in use), I am confused as to why none of these charts showed my active Meet-Me conference...?
Any ideas what I am doing wrong, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..!
Thanks in Advance,
Matt

Hey Dennis, thanks for the reply!
Ok, so you're not seeing the graphs increment either when you initiate a Conference..?
Thanks,
Matt

Hi,
I use MeetMe with CUCM 9.x and I usually see the graphs reflecting the actual usage.
Based on your config and MRG/MRGL assignment, are you expecting to see HW or SW CFB?
Also, when are selecting the counter, are you sure that you are locating the actual resource which is hosting the conference.

Hey Mohammed, thanks for the reply!
My MRG/MRGL has the CUCM02-MRG listed as the first MRG in my MRGL. And in that CUCM02-MRG it has a SW CFB.
But, just to be safe I opened the SWConferenceActive graph for ALL CUCMs in the cluster. I also tried "Cisco Media Streaming App > CFBConferencesActive" for all CUCMs and still no movement...
I know it's showing about 3 or 4 different places to see the "Conference Active" graphs, so which one would be the correct one to look at given that I "should" be using a CFB from CallManager..?
I was kind of confused as to why it looks like you can view the same info in multiple graph locations in the RTMT > Performance page.
Thanks again for the reply, much appreciated!!
Thanks,
Matt

Another thing I just noticed...
Going through some of the other available "counter" graphs, it seems like MOST of these graphs don't display anything either...
For example, I just checked the "Cisco SIP >> CallsActive" graph counter and that is also showing 0 across the board, which is also wrong. I know this is wrong because I hopped onto the SIP CUBE (*same one I selected for the graph) and I ran "show sip calls" and I can see 10 or more calls active, pretty much on a consistent basis...
Are there any known bugs with RTMT with NOT displaying the correct data, in the: RTMT > Performance page?
Thanks Again,
Matt

Hi,
From CUCM Serviceability, can you confirm that Serviceability Reporter is activated. Then from Network Services can you confirm that all Performance services are running (especially RIS service).
If all looks good, try to restart RIS service and see if it makes difference.

Hey Mohammed, thanks again for the reply!
Yes, the "Serviceability Reporter" service is activated and running...
Also, yes to ALL of the services listed under "Performance and Monitoring" are activated running as well.
Will anything happen if I restart that RIS service..? We are currently in our normal business hours so we are still open. Does that affect any call processing or anything along those lines?
Thanks Again,
Matt

Hi,
RIS shoudn't impact users. But I prefer to do it during off peak hours.
