Hi All
Next week we are looking to move our Cisco 2801 CME phone switch to a new site. The new site will have the same amount of ISDN channels. We inherited this system allready configured and never had to do a lot to it. I've researched into setting up ISDN and looked at the existing configuration. From what I can see there is hardly anything dependant on the actual telephone number. I can see some translation rules which contain part of the number and maps to the internal number. The only other place I see the actual number is on the BRI port description.
Surely it cannot be as easy as tweaking the translation rules. This the existing translation rule.
voice translation-rule 1
rule 2 /^361338/ /1338/
rule 3 /^58570/ /200/
rule 4 /^364289/ /4289/
rule 5 /^366677/ /6677/
rule 6 /^361255/ /2009/
voice translation-rule 9
rule 1 // /90/
Thanks.

Telephony is mostly about numbers, get them right and it will work.

haha, I'm just wondering if there is any config to do on the interface but I guess not. Some poeple have suggested it will work without making any changes but that sounds too good to be true.
