Can we use multiple codec for the ephones, I mean can we assign one codec for each group of phone in CUCM ver 7.1.3.
Is there an appropriate codec that fit the wireless radio network, so that we can assign one codec for them, and one for the wired network.
Thanks
Ali

Codec config to any group of phone ( Device Pool ) can be achieved using " Region " setting where you advise the codec to be used within & across the regions. Usually, on LAN it will be G.711 or G.722 ( wideband codec ) as it offers clearer voice quality & LAN doesnt have bandwidth concern. Over WAN is typically g.729.
So you can create different Device Pools for the group of phones & configure different codecs for sure.
