Dear people,

I just buy the 8845 model
But i want to connect it to my SIP account at Cheapconnect.net
The device model is FCH2252DF1M

Already have a account at Wedex and at Cisco

First i need too add new firmware on it because it's a old one  sip8845_65.12.1.1.12

BUT i need too connect too a 3 party (voip.cheapconnect.net) here is my SIP account, so what new firmware i can use for the best?
sip8845_65.14-3-1-0201-246
OR
sip8845_65.12-0-7MPP0001-46_REL  (Multiplatform)

And the next question is than, how too connect too my SIP account at cheapconnect?

Thanks already
Will

MPP is the correct choice for anything other than CUCM / CME; however, migrating to it is not free for platforms other than Webex Calling. The Asterisk community has reverse engineered the XML schema used by CUCM & CME to provision Enterprise firmware; you may be able to use that as inspiration instead.

Even if you migrate to MPP it’s unlikely someone here will have perfect instructions for that ITSP. There are generic examples but MPP has a lot of settings to accommodate the idiosyncrasies of various platforms. The ideal scenario is explicit support for Cisco MPP IP Phones from your provider including instructions of what to configure on the phone.

Cisco.com is the only sanctioned place to get firmware updates from. Platforms that offer official support for the phone may also supply/push their desired firmware load in the provisioning config file. Anywhere else would be a licensing agreement violation.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for your answer.

I have a working SIP acoount on my Yealink T58A
But i want to have the Cisco instead for it

So i can give you the right port number etc from cheapconnect
If you can tell where to ad dit we can try it out on the CISCO?

Will

The license (to convert from Enterprise to 3PCC/MPP) SKU is L-CP-E2M-88XX-CNV.

Hi Leo,

Thanks for the license key, but where to put this?

On the background i see now the MSTeams wall/logo, but still there is a screen on the front saying

! Provide the migration license. Contact your administrator.
(with the button) RETRY and SETTINGS

So i need too solve this problem first to go ahead with MSTeams

Maybe sorry too say but i need change the first text.

Yes i have a acoount at Webex but i want to use the whole phone for a 3rd party (my sip account is at Cheapconnet.net)
And want to use MsTeams not on webex (if possible), so use it at his own?

Will

To get the phone to work with MS Teams (and without CUCM), convert the phone to MPP/3PCC first.

20250403_221651.jpgLeo thanks about MSTeams it's working for so far, meaning i see the MSTeams at the background.

But at the front bottum there is still saying the following

! Provide the migration license. Contact your administrator
Follow by the key Restry and Settings

See the 'migrate' link in my initial response. Migration licenses are not free. You'll need to purchase the SKU from a Cisco reseller and complete the process referenced in that document.

WTF WTF

Already 2 weeks bussy to get a phone ready !!!

I need a license migration SKU or what the.......

Need to add a case at you're Cisco account, so i do, than it say we don't support you you need to go to local dealer.
So i do, contact local dealer here, ohhh no we cannot help you, you need to make a call too Cisco.

So i do .....what you need .... i need al license or migration code to unlock my phone.....
Ooh we make a case for it so i need
model number, your register email etc etc

oooh i see we cannot support you because it's a old model......
You need to contact  a local deal............YES  thank you i know already......

2 week bussy to get working
Or is it better to take Yealink for it...........

You should contact the dealer who sold you  this phones. We understand your situation, but posting 'WTF' here won’t help—neither we nor Cisco can assist you in this case. Only the dealer who sold you the phones can resolve this, which is why Cisco Support directed you to reach out to the dealer. This is what happens when Cisco products are purchased through gray market channels instead of official Cisco sales channels.

Certified MS Teams phones

Phone is working but now i try add the MSTeams to it again.
Its working and get a Pair Code

But than cannot go to next because it say

User does not have AllowSIPDevicesCalling policy set and a phone number assigned. Please check with your administrator.

Can someone help me on this?

That's a Microsoft Phone System-specific question that is not covered on the Cisco forums. Start with the Configure SIP Gateway documentation and use Microsoft support resources if needed.
